Cape Canaveral, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Roughly 100,000 people will be at the Cape, watching launch pad 39 A today for the test-launch of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy. The Falcon Heavy, if it works as hoped, will become the most powerful rocket in service currently.
It will send a payload into a Mars injection orbit, spending about 6 hours coasting through Earth's Van Allen radiation belts in the process. That payload is a Tesla Roadster with a mannequin in the driver's seat.
