Feds Tag Florida town in Sanctuary City crackdown

WEST PALM BEACH (970 WFLA) -- The Mayor of West Palm Beach is the only Florida official among 23 nationwide, getting a warning letter from the U-S Justice Department. It demands those cities show whether each jurisdiction is restricting police from sharing information with federal immigration authorities. The feds say cities that don't respond quickly could get a federal subpoena.

The city of West Palm Beach says in a statement that it believes a resolution prohibiting city employees from sharing immigration information complies with Federal law... and it will provide documentation according to state public records laws.
