Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Police search for a man who left Saturday morning for a fishing trip on Old Tampa Bay and never returned.
Joshua Ford, 35, was last seen launching his motorized canoe from Ben T. Davis beach at about 8 a.m. for an all-day fishing excursion near the Courtney Campball Causeway, according to a news release from Tampa Police. He was expected back by 5 p.m.
Ford is described as 5'7", 110 lbs, bald head with a red goatee, wearing a baby blue flannel long-sleeve shirt, gray shorts, and dark brown work boots. The canoe is described as standard length, orange in color, with a small battery powered trolling motor attached, according to the release.
Anyone with information regarding this missing boater is asked to contact TPD at 813-231-6130. Search & Rescue operations will continue through Sunday.
