Shocking Domestic Plot in Flagler County

PALM COAST (970 WFLA) -- Flagler sheriff's deputies have arrested a man they say wired up the door of a home, attempting to electrocute his estranged wife.

Detectives found out on December 26 when the homeowner, who's the wife's father, told them the man had instructed him not to let a child touch the front door of his home on White Hall Drive.

Deputies found it was barricaded and there were burn marks on the door handle. It sparked when a deputy kicked it. They found attachments and figured out that the man had wired electric current to the door to electrocute anyone who attempted to unlock it.

Deputies signed out a warrant to arrest Michael Scott Wilson, 32. They found him in Knoxville, TN. Wilson will be brought back to Flagler County and will be held on $150,000 bond. He's charged with attempted battery on a pregnant woman and grand theft of a firearm. Deputies say the gun belonged to his father-in-law.
