TAMPA (970 WFLA) -- Winter weather is causing delays for travelers trying to get to, and leave, Tampa International Airport. But so far, officials say it's a low stress situation.
As of mid-afternoon, airport spokesperson Emily Nipps says more than 130 flighta in and out of TPA had been delayed. Nipps says most of the affected flights were to and from Atlanta and the Northeast.
But Nipps says she found no sign of stressed-out or disgruntled travelers hanging around the airport.
One reason could be that there are more ways to de-stress at the airport. Nipps says several shops opened in time for the Christmas travel season. Just today, a spa opened up at Airside C.
Travelers could face more problems around New Year's Eve, when a major storm is expected.
