Bucs WR to Host Fundraiser for New Foundation

Buccaneers - Mike Evans

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Fans can meet and mingle with Buccaneers players when wide receiver Mike Evans hosts a charity event for his foundation Monday.

Evans appeared on Newsradio 970 WFLA's "AM Tampa Bay" Tuesday to talk about the first major fundraiser for the Mike Evans Family Foundation. "A lot goes into starting a foundation," Evans told hosts Jack Harris, Tedd Webb and Aaron Jacobson. "I think it's my duty to help give back to the youth."

The dinner December 11 at 717 South restaurant in Tampa will feature Evans and some of his Bucs teammates. Tickets start at $150 for a dinner, and $100 for an after-dinner event. "Come hang with me and my teammates," Evans said.

Evans said his foundation will raise money to help low income students pay for college, and go to a women's shelter for domestic violence victims. Get more details at: day1sports.com/13dinner/.
