Guardian Angels to Stay in Seminole Heights

The Guaridan Angles of Tampa say they'll continue to patrol the streets of Seminole Heights.

The volunteer crime fighting group has had a presence in that area since October, when three people were randomly murder.  A fourth victim was gunned down in southeast Seminole Heights in November.

Ron Smith of the Tampa Guardian Angles says his volunteers were well received by residents in that area. He says there's been a big change in Seminole Heights, now that there's been an arrest.

Smith says people are, once again, walking outside, grilling and playing in their front yards.  But he says volunteers would like to continue keeping an eye on that community, since it borders Ybor City, where the Angles already have a presence.

Last week, Tampa police arrested 24-year-old Howell Donaldson III and charged him with the murders of Benjamin Mitchell, Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa and Ronald Felton.  Donaldson has a bond hearing scheduled Tuesday morning.
