Largo, Fla. (970 WFLA) - It took two years, and international cooperation, but Pinellas County Sheriff's Office detectives get their suspect in a molestation of a 13-year-old girl.
Juan Paulino-Cantero, 36, molested the girl at a home in Clearwater in November 2015, detectives say. Paulino-Cantero knew the victim. He fled to Mexico, where police arrested him in March of this year. He was extradited to Pinellas County Friday, according to a news release from PCSO.
Paulino-Cantero faces charges of sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation. He sits in the Pinellas County Jail.
