Two Deputy Involved Shootings In Twenty-Four Hours

Hillsborough County, Fla.(970 WFLA)-Two deputy involved shootings in Hillsborough within 24 hours. 

The first one happened in Ruskin,  Wednesday morning in the Reserve at Pradera, a new community under construction.    Guy McDonald was allegedly knocking on doors around 10 am,  when deputies approached McDonald, he refused to drop a weapon he was holding.   McDonald is expected to survive. The deputy was not injured.  

Thursday morning  a man with a violent arrest  history was shot by a  deputy in Carrollwood Meadows. The suspect  refused to follow the officers orders to drop the weapon he was holding.

Deputy David Cloud spotted  35 year old Babak Payrow as he was walking in the 5300 block of Brushy Creek Drive, when the Deputy  tried to talk with Payrow, the suspect reached inside a bag and pulled out a ten inch screwdriver and aggressively came at the deputy. 

According to the sheriff's report the deputy feared for his life and shot Payrow once.    Payrow who has prior arrests for aggravated assaults, domestic violence and resisting arrest is in the hospital  in critical condition.
