Cortez, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The Coast Guard searched Saturday for a boater near Mead Point. Fraser Horne's wife reported him missing Friday night when he did not return from a boat trip. Horne, 63, had left from Egmont Key.
A crew found Horne's boat, with its engines running in neutral. They found Horne's wallet, keys and his dog. But no sign of him.
Crewmembers from Hillsborough County Sheriff Office, Holmes Beach Police Department, Manatee County Sheriff's Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are aiding in the search, said the Coast Guard in a news release.
