Brandon, Fla. (970 WFLA)-An eleven year old Mann Middle School student was hit by a car and killed while trying to run across busy Orient road Thursday.
Brandon Heard jr. was taken to Tampa General where he later died from his injuries. According to the Hillsborough Sheriff's report, traffic facing northbound on Orient Road was stopped due to congestion, Brandon ran across Orient Road westbound, through the stopped northbound traffic, into the path of the oncoming southbound traffic.
No word yet, if the driver of the car, 47 year old Sabrina Buster will be facing any charges.
Grief counselors will be at Mann Middle School today to help his friends and others cope with their loss.
