Guilty Verdicts in Pasco Quadruple Murder Trial

Guilty on all four counts.

That's the verdict from a Pasco County Jury Thursday afternoon in the quadruple murder trial of Adam Matos.

It took the jury three hours to convict Matos of killing his ex-girlfriend Megan Brown, her parents Gregory and Margaret Brown and Megan Brown's new boyfriend Nicholas Leonard in August of 2014.

They were murdered inside the Hudson home they shared.  Their bodies were discovered outside, blocks away from the house.

Matos had taken the stand in his own defense, claiming he murdered the four out of self-defense.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.  Jurors will reconvene on Monday for the sentencing phase.  Florida law has changed so any death recommendation by the jury will have to be unanimous.
