Adam Matos Takes the Stand in his Pasco Quadruple Murder Trial

Wearing a dark suit and blue tie, Adam Matos calmly testifies in his own defense during his quadruple murder trial in Pasco County.  And he claims self-defense.

Matos is charged with murdering his girlfriend, Megan Brown, who's also the mother of his son Tristan, her parents and her new boyfriend in the fall of 2014.

Their bodies were discovered outside not far form the Hudson home they all shared.  Tristan was missing, but later found with Matos in a downtown Tampa hotel.

Matos testifies the murders were carried out as self-defense after getting into a confrontation with Brown's dad and new boyfriend.

Matos also testified he left the bodies in a pile far enough from the house so son Tristan wouldn't see the victims.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.  This is the third week of Matos' trial.
