Two Dead, A Third Injured After Hit By A Car

Brandon, Fla.(970 WFLA)- Three people who were standing outside of their vehicles arguing, were hit by a car, in the median turn lane of Providence Road,  south of Providence Lakes Boulevard in Brandon. 

27 year old Tanaysha Troutman of Tampa, and 33 year old Victoria Patten were pronounced dead at the scene.  38 year old Stephanie Jordan of Gibsonton suffered non life threatening injuries.

According to the Hillsborough Sheriffs Office, the three were hit by a 2005 Hyundai traveling at 40 mph. 

The sheriff's office report says,  the driver, 21 year old Guillermo Ruiz of Wesley Chapel,  had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and admitted to having consumed beer earlier in the evening.  Ruiz submitted to having his blood drawn, additional charges are pending the toxicology report.
