Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Hillsborough deputies are putting out the word on 21 year-old Javaris Wynn. He's wanted for grand theft and sudden snatching.
Investigators say Wynn has been targeting cell phone retailers in the Tampa Bay area and stores in Zephyrhills, Auburndale and in Orlando. Detectives say Wynn poses as a customer, acts like he's checking out the phones and then runs off with the goods. Wynn's phone of choice is the IPhone.
Wynn was last seen driving a stolen 2015 Jeep Cherokee with Florida tag # HWWS23. The Jeep has a cargo rack on top.
Anyone with any information on Javaris Wynn is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
