Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Sarasota Police have just wrapped up a major undercover drug operation with the arrests of a number of street level dealers.
Police Chief Bernadette DiPino says they arrested 16 people in what was called "Operation Corner Stone." DiPino says they're still looking for another four suspects.
The people arrested are no strangers to the law. Investigators say all 20 suspects have a combined total of over 550 prior felony arrests and over 170 felony convictions.
Chief DiPino says they came up with the name for the operation from a combination of the street corners where the drugs were being sold and for "stone," the street name for the rock cocaine that was being sold.
