Miami, Fla. (970 WFLA)- At 5 am, the center of tropical depression nineteen was located near latitude 28.9 north, longitude 50.2 west. It's about 900 miles east of Bermuda, about 1470 miles west-southwest of the Azores.
The depression is moving toward the east near 6 mph. However, a turn toward the north-northeast or north is expected later today,and this general motion is forecast to continue through Tuesday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later today.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1013 mb (29.92 inches).
