Tarpon Springs, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Several good Samaritans came to the aid of an 83 year-old woman who was being robbed in the parking lot of the Bank of America on East Tarpon Avenue.
Police say the elderly woman had just made a withdrawl and was standing by her car when another woman pulled her car behind the senior's vehicle. The woman told the elderly woman to hand over her purse or she'd get her gun and shoot her.
The 83 year-old put up a fight when 31 year-old Jennifer Denise Kearin of Holiday tried to take off with the woman's purse. That's when two people noticed the struggle and blocked in Kearin's car until police arrived.
Kearin is charged with one count of armed robbery and violation of probation.
