Pinellas Park, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The Tampa Bay area records yet another pedestrian fatal. This time it happened on Belcher Road.
Pinellas Park police say a woman was trying to cross the road in the 10,000 block of Belcher when she was hit by a vehicle. Officers say she was dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the woman did stop and has told police what he knows. The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Southbound Belcher was closed for several hours as the investigation was underway.
The woman's name has not yet been released.
