A new face in the Governor's race

MIAMI (970 WFLA) -- The field for next year's governor's race just got more crowded.

As expected, Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine threw his hat in the ring today, for the Democratic nomination.

Levine says Tallahassee is in denial on climate change, and calls for moving power out of the capital and back to local communities.

He also insists that "unless we put teachers and public schools first, we have no right to say we're putting children first."

Levine joins businessman Chris King, former congresswoman Gwen Graham, and Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum.
