St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA)- The southbound lanes of Interstate-275 in St. Petersburg were shut down for a time after a fatal crash near 38th Avenue, South. The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the victim as 27 year-old Kasey Gibson of St. Petersburg.
Troopers say a speeding car hit the rear end of the car Gibson was riding in, killing her on scene. The driver of the car that hit the other vehicle, 45 year-old Malo Derone Blackshear, has been charged with DUI manslaughter.
