TALLAHASSEE (970 WFLA) -- Florida Governor Rick Scott is making a return trip to Puerto Rico Friday.
He was invited by their governor to offer guidance on rebuilding the power grid and Scott says he'll do what he can to help the island and its people.
This is Scott's second trip to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and he won't be alone. The governor is leading a delegation from Florida power companies that have lots of experience rebuilding after a storm. They'll offer advice on rebuilding the electric grid.
It follows the Puerto Rican government's decision to cancel a $300 million power restoration contract with Whitefish Energy Holding, which had only two people on the payroll before Hurricane Maria.
Scott says he has a good working relationship with Puerto Rico's territorial governor, Ricardo Rosselló.
