Small plane crashes in south St Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (970 WFLA) --  Four people have been taken to hospitals after a small twin-engine plane crashed on a street in St. Petersburg Wednesday afternoon.

St. Pete Fire Rescue says the crash happened at 18th Avenue South and 16th Street. That's about a mile away from Albert Whitted Airport. 

The condition of the victims isn't known.
