Police Arrest Fire Chief and Wife in Port Richey

NEW PORT RICHEY (970 WFLA) -- The Port Richey fire chief and his wife are in big trouble with the law, after turning a drunk driving arrest into a full blown fight with the cops.

New Port Richey police say they found Timothy Fussell banged up after crashing his motorcycle, in the 67 hundred block of Madison Avenue Sunday. They thought he was impaired and told him to stick around. He started arguing, and his wife Suzanna told him to stop talking to the officers. Police say she was removed from the scene.

When Chief Fussell got to North Bay Hospital, police say his wife followed, forcing her way in and throwing away his blood samples. As police arrested her, they say, Timothy Fussell got agitated and punched an officer. Both Fussells went to jail facing several charges.
