Sarasota, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Officials investigate a car fire Sunday morning with a dead body burning inside. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says that witnesses saw a vehicle burning on I-75 near mile marker 202.
One person had gotten out of the vehicle, another stayed trapped inside. The one inside had died, according to a news release from SCSO. It was not clear whether the person died before or during the fire.
Multiple units from County and State agencies went to investigate. I-75 southbound lanes were closed south of Clark Road for a time, but has since re-opened.
