Homossassa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - State troopers look for the hit-and-run driver who left a pedestrian to die late Saturday.
Dina Towers, 24, walked along West Southern Street in Homossassa at about 10:20 p.m., according to a news release, when a "low-profile recreation-type vehicle" going westbound struck Towers and drove away. Towers was airlifted to an area hospital, where she died.
The vehicle will have damage on the passenger side of its front end, FHP says. It asks anyone who can identify it, or its driver, to call either *FHP (*347) on a cell phone or 813-631-4020.
