Help Identify Second Suspect In Ybor City Homicide

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Tampa police are asking for your help finding the second suspect who was involved in the murder and robbery of 55 year old DuVaughn Shaheed in Ybor City. 

John Hicks and another suspect were at the Ybor Grocery Store on North 15th Street around 1 am on October first,  when they asked Shaheed if he would give them a ride.  He agreed.   Near East 18th Avenue and North 17th Street, the suspects told Shaheed to pull over.  

Shaheed and another man were ordered to get out of the car, remove their pants, and get on the ground. The suspects then shot both victims, robbed them and took off in Shaheed's  2003 four door beige Ford Taurus. Shaheed died from his injuries, the second victim was seriously injured. 

John Hicks was arrested October fifth and charged with murder in the 1st degree, felony murder, attempted 1st degree felony murder and other related charges.

Detectives are asking for information that would help identify the second suspect, who has been described as a black male, light complexion, tall, thin build and was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket and hat.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the second suspect involved in this case.
