Para-glider Gets Tangled in St. Pete Power Lines

Power was knocked out in St. pete for a few dozen homes Tuesday after a para-glider landed and got tangled some power lines.

St. Pete Fire Rescue says there were three people flying a mechanized parachute or glider and took off from Bear Creek Park on 60th Street and 1st Avenue North.  They were coming in for a landing one of them got snagged in three power lines that each carry 7,200 volts of electricity.

That person was shocked and sent to the hospital.
