St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Pinellas County businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals who suffered damages as a result of Hurricane Irma can now apply for federal assistance.
Pinellas is one of numerous counties eligible for federal funds following the issuance of a major disaster declaration Sunday by President Donald Trump.
The City of St. Petersburg will open Disaster Relief Centers to help St. Pete residents affected by Hurricane Irma.
City staff will be available to assist area residents in making an application to FEMA for individual or business assistance.
Centers will have secure technology available, to ensure protection of personal, sensitive information.
