TAMPA (970 WFLA) -- Cancellations, relocations and postponements are starting to pile up from Hurricane Irma.
The Buccaneers-Dolphins game planned for Sunday afternoon in Miami won't be played there. The NFL has decided to either move the game to a neutral site or make it up later in the season.
High school football also starting to feel Irma's effects. Sarasota County has declared no games will be played Friday night. Some games will be played earlier in the week, others will be made up later in the season.
It's not just football feeling Irma's wrath.
Nova Southeastern University says its Tampa campus will cancel classes Wednesday and until further notice, as well as campuses in Miami, Miramar, Ocean Campus, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Tampa, Palm Beach, and Jacksonville, as well as all campuses in Puerto Rico.
For example, if you live in Pinellas County and were planning to drop off hazardous waste or old electronics at a mobile collection event this Saturday, you're out of luck. The event at the SPC Allstate Center on 34th Street South in St. Petersburg is cancelled. The next event is a week later (16th) at Seminole High School in Seminole.
