St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA) - An argument in an apartment building parking lot led to a fatal shooting, and a search for the shooter.
St. Petersburg police say that Joshua Starkey, 35, of Wesley Chapel was parked outside the Twin Brooks Apartments on 22nd Ave. South when another man approached his SUV and the two began arguing. The other man fired shots at Starkey, and he crashed into a concrete wall that surrounds the parking lot, according to a news release.
The shooter left Starkey bleeding in the parking lot and drove off in the SUV. Starkey later died of his injuries. Police found the SUV a short time later, on fire, near 5th Ave. South and 26th Street.
Police did not have a description of the shooter.
