USF Police Ask You To Identify Robbery Suspect

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-USF Police are  asking if you have any information that could identify a man who robbed a woman on the  Tampa campus, August 26.

It was between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. last Saturday when, a  black male approached the woman, near the Interdisciplinary Science Building on the Tampa Campus of the University of South Florida.

He asked, if she had money to  change a $50 bill.   As she  took money from her purse, the suspect snatched the cash from her hands and ran off toward parking lot 8A. 

The suspect is described as a black male, between 30-40 years old,   6'02", 180-200 lbs., medium build, medium complexion, short hair, goatee.  He was wearing a teal polo shirt, "washed out" jean shorts and white shoes. The suspect was carrying a dark colored backpack.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect involved in this case.   Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
