BARTOW (970 WFLA) -- Imagine getting a gun pointed in your face, by someone to whom you offered a ride, and ending up with him sleeping in your house.
That's the scary situation Bartow police say unfolded Monday night.
They tell us the victim offered 25 year old Reginald Liston a ride last night around 10 o'clock last night, at the Azalea Gardens complex on Golfview Avenue. According to police, Liston pulled a gun on the victim and stuck a barrel in his face, then fired his gun into the air on the passenger side, three or four times. The victim took Liston home out of fear, then sneaked out as he slept and called police.
Cops say they nabbed Liston as he tried to reach for the gun under his pillow. Liston has a felony record and shouldn't have had a gun. Police say he also had drugs, including cocaine and MDMA (ecstasy).
The 24-year-old victim wasn't hurt.
