Passengers Rescued From School Bus On Flooded Venice Road

Venice, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Venice Police rescued  three special needs students and two adults from a school bus that was taking on water on E. Venice Ave.

According to Sgt. Ron Perisho,  it was just after 7 this morning when the bus became stuck in a drainage ditch in the 700 block of E. Venice Ave.  

The students are high school age and  are all  OK.

Due to street flooding, E. Venice Ave. between U.S. 41 Bypass and Bay Indies is now partially closed. Motorists are advised to please drive with caution and avoid the area.
