Woman, 86, Followed Home from WalMart, Robbed

Armed Robbery Suspects

Brandon, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Armed men robbed an elderly woman at gunpoint in her driveway after following her home from a Brandon WalMart Monday. 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's office said that at least two men spied the 86-year-old loading groceries into her car at the WalMart on Causeway Blvd. at about 12:25 p.m. They followed her to her home in Brandon. As she unloaded her groceries, a man pointed a silver handgun at her and tore her purse out of her hands before speeding away in the waiting car.

Deputies found the purse in a trash can a convenience storeon Rideout Road in Tampa, about 4 miles from the WalMart. The robbers' car is a dark gray Toyota Corolla. 

Deputies describe the man who stole the purse as a black male armed with a semi automatic handgun wearing  a red hat, red bandana, black shirt, black pants and black shoes.

They ask anyone with any information reference these suspects to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200. They can also  report them to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), and become eligible for a cash reward if their tip leads to an arrest.
