Clearwater, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-City fire-rescue workers say a man is hospitalized after one of the thunderstorms that popped up along the Pinellas County coast caused the 75 year-old to be hit by a bolt of lightning.
The man was playing a round at the Clearwater Country Club when the storm came rolling in off of the Gulf of Mexico. The man was on the 7th hole when he was struck.
The victim was transported by ground to Tampa General Hospital. The man's name and condition have yet to be released.
