CLEARWATER (970 WFLA) -- A Clearwater woman goes to jail after a crash that shut down the Courtney Campbell Causeway Thursday morning.
Clearwater police say 26 year old Lina Marie Paige was driving under the influence, on a suspended license, when she slammed her Mercedes into the back of a van on the westbound side around 3:15 a.m.
The van flew into a guardrail and flipped over. The driver, 52-year-old Gregory Palmer, is in critical condition at Bayfront.
Paige is also accused of battery on a law enforcement officer. The crash shut down the westbound side of the causeway for more than five hours.
