Man Who Fought His Uber Driver Dies

Terry Kimball

St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The man who fought an Uber driver after they argued about the driver's route has died.

Terry Lynn Kimball, 56, died Saturday from brain trauma suffered in an altercation with Uber driver Kabir O'Farril Diaz, 38, Friday night, St. Petersburg Police said. Kimball and Diaz argued about the route Diaz chose. The driver pulled over at a convenience store parking lot, where they got out of the car and had a physical confrontation, police said. Diaz punched Kimball, and Kimball never regained consciousness.

Diaz has cooperated with police, and had not faced charges as of Sunday morning. But police say their investigation continues.
