Venice, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A Venice daycare worker is charged with child abuse after allegedly slapping a nine month old baby in the face.
The Sarasota Sheriff's office says a witness watched, 70 year old Cheryl Ann Bolton as she was changing the baby's diaper, telling the child to shut up and hitting the baby in the head.
According to the arrest report, photos taken of the infants injuries show red marks on the child's face, consistent with being hit by an open hand.
