Purse Snatcher Stabs One Woman & Two Men Who Tackled Him

Seminole, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Three people police call 'good samaritans' are being credited with subduing an armed robbery suspect.  

Pinellas County Deputies say 49 year old Bobby Watson of Saint Petersburg, tried to steal a woman's purse Sunday afternoon and stabbed her in the thigh outside  Publix at 7880 113th Street in Seminole.

Three men, including one with a gun, saw what was happening, and chased Watson.  The three caught up with him, across the street in the parking lot of the Seminole City Shopping Center,  where he was held at gunpoint until deputies arrived.  

Besides the woman, two of the good samaritans were stabbed, but none of their injuries are life-threatening.  

Watson is charged with armed robbery, and three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
