Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Gasoline prices are climbing around most of the country as demand is very high and crude oil supplies have declined for the fifth straight week.
Tampa Bay area gas prices are averaging almost $2.25 for a gallon of regular. That price is down about 4 cents a gallon from the previous week.
The most expensive gas prices in Florida are in the West Palm Beach area at $2.38 a gallon. The cheapest gas in Florida can be found for $2.24 in the Ft. Myers-Cape Coral area.
Florida gas prices for the month of July averaged $2.18 per gallon; two cents more than in July of 2016.
