Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Police have made an arrest in the murder at the Tzadik Oaks Apartments on East 113th Avenue.
Detectives say interviews with residents and other evidence led them to arrest 20 year-old Alexeis Perez for the murder of 20 year-old Antonio Roman. Roman was found with bullet wounds after police responded to a report of shots fired at the apartment complex. Roman died later at the hospital.
First reports indicated the shooting happened during a disturbance at the apartment complex, but police believe robbery was the motive. Perez is charged with first degree murder and armed robbery.
In spite of the arrest, police say the case remains under investigation.
