TALLAHASSEE (970 WFLA) -- Florida's agricultural commissioner Adam Putnam, now running for governor, is firing back at a newspaper op-ed calling him out for his support of expanding the rights of gun owners, including support of allowing concealed carry on college campuses and open carry in public.
Tampa Bay Times opinion columnist Daniel Ruth wrote an article calling Putnam a "sellout" to the National Rifle Association. Putnam responded on Twitter... and by inviting people to sign a petition on his campaign website...
... so far, several posters have picked up on Putnam's hashtag...
... but not everyone views the new hashtag as a compliment.
