Pasco County emergency managers say a large sinkhole is still growing, but not as fast.
It completely swallowed a home on Ocean Pines Dr. and destroyed a second home. At least nine other homes are in danger and there is a voluntary evacuation in that area.
The home started toppling into the water-filled sinkhole early Friday morning after someone called 9-1-1 reporting a depression in the property. Pasco Emergency Manager Kevin Gutherie believes the sinkhole is 200-feet wide and at least 50-feet deep.
He also says there was a sinkhole that was filled on this property in the past.
The good news, says Gutherie, is that there have been no injuries.
