BRADENTON (970 WFLA) -- Three young adults are hospitalized in critical condition, and several more suffered minor injuries. after a three car crash that shut down I-75 in Manatee County for several hours Sunday evening.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a Kia Sportage changed lanes and struck a Nissan, forcing it into the path of another car on I-75 at mile marker 219, around 7:30 last night. Of the five people in the Kia, FHP says two got ejected and three are hospitalized.
In critical condition: the driver, 19 year old Steve Boyce of Brandon, and his passengers, 20 year old Austin Keenan and 18 year old Michelle Enriquez of Riverview. Two other passengers transported with minor injuries.
Charges are pending, according to FHP.
