Reward Offered In Bomb Threat Case

New Port Richey, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a $3,000 reward for information that will lead to the man who phoned in a bomb threat to the Publix supermarket on U.S. 19.

Investigators say the man told a manager about a bomb that had been placed inside the store.  No bombs or suspicious packages were found as officers searched the store in the Southgate Shopping Center.

As the investigation was underway, detectives found out that the suspect was caught on surveillance video while filing a complaint at another Publix store (see photo).

Anyone who has information about the suspect or threat is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
