Still No Tampa Office For Rubio

Sen. Marco Rubio

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Four months after Marco Rubio's staff were kicked out of a downtown office building, the Senator has yet to find a replacement office in one of the state's largest metro areas.

Rubio's Washington office said it's working on it, but the tight rental market combined with concerns about demonstrators outside the office have some buildings wary of having him as a tenant.

Prior to closing, Rubio's office in Bridgewater Center on Kennedy Blvd. was the location for regular protests, leading to complaints from other tenants in the building.

Now protesters don't have an obvious location to stage demonstrations against the Senator.

Rubio stayed out of view during the July 4th holiday, as did most Republican Senators who are under pressure because of the health care bill.
