A warning to children and young adolescents to stay away from a Manatee County shopping center, after dinner.
Main Street at Lakewood Ranch is banning those under 16 after 6 pm, unless they're with their parents.
The shopping center is imposing the ban after a minor crime wave, so to speak... with fights, property damage and a tidal wave of disrespect. Main Street says too many parents have been using the shopping complex as a babysitter, dropping children off for movies or music events and leaving them unsupervised.
