Tampa Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Police look for the hit-and-run driver who left a pedestrian dead in Ybor City early Saturday. Charles Edward Slater, 46, died from injuries suffered when he was struck as he tried to cross 2nd Ave. at 25th St., Tampa Police said. It happened between 3 and 4:30 a.m.

They have no details on the vehicle at fault. Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay has offered a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads them to an arrest. Anyone with helpful tips in the case can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
