Prostitution Operation Ends With Arrests

                                                                              


Clearwater, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Police here have arrested ten people during a crackdown on prostitution and related offenses.

The arrests occurred mainly in the Gateway area east of downtown. The detail was conducted as part of an ongoing effort in response to complaints from business owners and residents in the area.

"Clearwater is not where you come to solicit a prostitute,"  said Police Chief Dan Slaughter.  "If you do and are caught, Clearwater Police undercover officers will add your name to the list of those caught soliciting prostitutes."

Those arrested were:

* Stacey Morris, 6/23/1983, soliciting for prostitution.

* Jennifer Russo, 08/04/1975, soliciting for prostitution.

* Tayler Matthews,  03/26/1998, soliciting for prostitution, trespass after warning.

* Carrie A Meeks,  08/21/1983, soliciting for prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Jessica Lee Livingston, 08/23/1987, soliciting for prostitution, possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

* Andrea Earll, 02/27/1981, loitering for prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug warrant.

* Jessica Johnson, 01/28/1984, solicitation for prostitution.

* Jennifer Smith, 02/13/1960, solicitation for prostitution.

* Bruce Williams, 08/05/1949, solicitation for prostitution.

* Theresa Kay Budd, 01/25/1964, loitering for prostitution.
